East Croydon is a thriving part of Croydon and the hub of transport in the area with train journeys to central London taking around fifteen minutes, the Gatwick Express train stops here as do trains to the South Coast. The Croydon Tramlink connects the surrounding areas of Addiscombe, South Norwood, Wimbledon, Beckenham, Elmers End, New Addington, Mitcham and Beddington. The bus terminal also has many routes servicing the local and surrounding areas.
